Our Story

1970  Growth Venture was originally formed in 1970 by Jimmy Thomas, who was forced by Hurricane Camille to leave a ruined family business and begin again.  Mr. Thomas moved to the Arizona desert where he located and successfully developed a copper mine and founded a Fortune 500 business specializing in annealed copper wiring products.  He retained a keen interest in aiding those who are displaced by natural disasters.
1995  In 1995 the company launched its now famous “True® Foundation” product line, targeted at businesses and homeowners located in flood-prone areas.  This revolutionary building material is now required by most major US insurance companies issuing flood insurance for homes and businesses.  When flood waters rise, True® Foundation swells gently to form a pure and water-tight seal.  The natural buoyancy of the annealed rubber gently cushions your property and protects from all flood damage.
 Today

Growth Venture donated many tons of True® Foundation to aid groups that were working in the tsunami-ravaged areas of Asia where the natural disaster had left water damage and swamp-like areas to rebuild upon.  The company has already seen record advance sales in the Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama area as homeowners and business owners alike seek to rebuild in the wake of the recent hurricanes.  Contrary to the rumors that have circulated via e-mail and on Internet postings, the company will have enough True® Foundation product and additives to supply the Gulf Coast region as it rebuilds.

With the help of True® Foundation, the South truly will rise again!
